Dizzy Days

This morning I had a horrible headache and was crazy dizzy. We got the blood test results back and everything was normal my iron was fine. I was super happy to hear that there were no issues with the spina bifida blood test and the down syndrome test. Still I am left with dizzy days but I am thinking it is either sinusitus or maybe hypoglycemia. Maybe it's hormones. At least for now I am going to ride it out and we will have to see.

In less than a month we find out the gender (hopefully) so I am getting ready to learn another thing about the baby!!

Peanut-The Health Nut

I am so happy to report I had my first Mama craving yesterday. I got all and consumed with the idea of eating fruit. We went out to Red Robin and as soon as the waitress came to the table I asked her if she had any fruit bowls or what fruit could I get. She gave me some options but I was jonesin for it so bad I just said all of the above and ordered a fruit punch. All before Stan could order his soda. I couldn't wait for that fruit to get to the table and I have to say eating it was the best feeling of my life.

I knew this had to be a baby craving because I went stark raving mad over some healthy food--now you know that it all baby. --Grandma Betty would be so proud of our little health nut.

Baby Pool

I am so very excited to tell you all that Stan and I have set up our baby pool!! If the baby cooperates then we will be finding out the baby's gender next month so to keep it fair we have decided to keep the pool open for bets as long as we don't know and then we will have to see from there.

Stan and I have already placed our bets and between the two of us I am sure one is right! I will be sending out e mails from the site to people but I wanted to make sure that everyone got the word.

So in the spirit of competition I am also going to offer a prize to the person who is the most accurate on the guesses. (Bribery...I know how to get you all ready!)

Also there is a neat side place where people can post comments or just fun stuff.

Stay tuned to the poll because we are also going to poll people with our top names once Stan and I can agree on them!!! STAY TUNED!!

Daddy's First Father's Day

This weekend was really fun and very active! On Saturday we all met at my Grandma Peggy's house (my mom, my dad, my Pop-Pop, my Grandma Peggy, Stan, and I) to go down to Mount Vernon in Virginia. It was wonderful and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. We toured the mansion and then walked to the Old & New tomb. The tomb was clear on the otherside of the property though so it was quite a walk in the hot sun. After we did the whole big tour we went to the Mount Vernon resterant and dine like kings & queens. Everything my dad ate he would say " you know these are George Washington's tomatos grown right here or George Washington's Cherries." It was really funny. I got this yummy peppered ham sandwich. They gave me this huge ice cream pie! Stan ate well too, he got a pulled pork sandwich (with was made from George Washington's pigs) and some Mount Vernon Peanut Soup. After we flled our gullet's we decided to head back to my Grandma's house. It was great.

On Sunday we drove down to Bethesda with John, Maggie, and Baby William. We met Stan's mom, dad, Aunt Millie, Aida, and Aimee at Strike for a fierce competition Men vs. Women in bowling! Of course the ladies were victorious- we were not going to cut them a break just because it was their holiday. Aida was strike city!! She did great. In the 9th fram Millie tore it up and got a very nice spare. Betty & Maggie got a strike in the 9th frame-so you know we were burning those lanes up. Us, ladies meant business! Although I do think that William should get MVP since he pushed that Big ol ball all the way down there and pulled out a great score. It was so cute watching him up there bowling. I tried to take some pictures but my camera made them all blurry since it was really dark in there.
After bowling we went to Maggianos for a family feast. It was so good. This time we got the Beef canneloni and I ate that up. It was so yummy!!

Stan got a lot of Father's Day gifts yesterday too. Sugar and Baby M got him a cute chocolate chip cookie card and with the help of Wibby & boo-boo they had it all signed and decorated for Stan when he woke up in the morning. Then Stan's mom got him these super cute baby books about a daddy bear and a baby bear which I know Stan will love reading as bedtime stories when the time comes. She also got him this precious Willow Tree Statue called "new Dad" where this father is holding his new infant. Stan's almost there and I have to say he can't wait until he can hold his little baby bundle. I love how excited he is! He also got 2 really cute onesies one said "Charm curtosy of Daddy" and the other said "The apple of Daddy's eye" They were so cute and I can't wait to see the baby in them.

It was a very full weekend all about Daddy's and I know that although Stan didn't feel too much like a daddy yet he really loved everything!

Baby Beats

Today was my 14 week evaluation and I think everything went fairly well. I gained 3 pounds which the lady said was good for a month. Then she went looking for the baby's heartbeat. She was able to find it with her doppler so I asked her if she could try it with mine. She loved my doppler and said it was better than hers. She found the heartbeart with mine and it was really clear. The baby's heart is beating at 160 (give or take) so I was very happy to hear a nice strong beat. It was amazing to hear the little heart working overtime like that. It sounded like a dog panting or a stampede or something. I am so happy to know that the baby is ok so far and everything is going well.

You know they say when the baby's heartbeat is faster than it is a girl. Soon we will open the poll so everyone can lay down their bets.

Feelings

I thought it would be good to give a little update on the symptoms I have been having recently. I am still having very bad fatigue but I had to expect that since the weather has been outrageous these past few days and I have always been a pretty low energy person. I have just recently started getting really dizzy and feeling a strange pressure in my head which I saw in the What to Expect book that this is a fairly normal thing so I am not too worried. I am still all blue and veiny which is so cool...since I love my circulatory system!! I am still pretty frequent about the bathroom but what else am I going to do?

Requesting Answers

Ok so for all you Mommy's out there I am looking at different products and have some questions for you:

  • What could you not live without? Meaning were there things that you used all the time?
  • What was helpful in putting the baby to sleep? play?
  • What do you think was a big waste of money/time?

The End is Near

Well end of my first trimester at least! I am happy to say that as of next week I will be out of my first trimester and into my second. I am already showing which is really exciting. I have been noticing that my pants are fitting tighter and that I am gravitating toward more elastic clothes. I think it maybe time to do a little shopping. (One thing I love about being overweight is maternity clothes will always fit)!

All about our family (when I remember to post it)
